The recently elected chairman of the Pennsylvania Chapter of Liberia’s main opposition grassroots political party (CDC), Mr. Fred Tarlue Gwyan, has pledged to work with the national leadership to institutionalize the party.

Mr. Gwyan also pledged that his party’s chapter will commence a vigorous mobilization and recruitment campaign, within the first hundred days of his administration, to net at least one hundred fifty (150), active dues paying Members.

Chairman Gwyan told the Independent Eye News (IEN), in an exclusive interview on Friday, June 29, “we will work with the party’s national leadership to institutionalize the CDC.”

Chairman Gwyan further disclosed that the elections which brought his team to power by acclamation were held at 519 Spruce, Upper darby, Pennsylvania on Saturday, June 19.

He promised that the Pennsylvanian Chapter under his leadership, wants to become the most vital financial chapter within the CDC, to enable it recruit qualified and winnable candidate, come the 2013 senatorial elections.

Chairman Gwyan noted that his chapter intends to raise at least twenty-five thousand United States dollars (US$25, 00.00) to attract professional Liberian (technocrats) in its recruitment drive.

Chairman Gwyan then promised to make Pennsylvania Chapter the most productive within the party’s Union. He vowed to work tirelessly to encourage the return of those partisans who left the party, out of frustration.

Those elected along with Chairman Gwyan include, Messrs. David Smith, Deputy Chairman for Administration, Nyemah Alloysius Wisner, Deputy Chair for Operation, McCarvent Levi Madison, II, General-Secretary and Solomon Joe, Treasurer.
